The set, if the factory agrees
We walk sockets that exist. We do not match by drill.
Some cavity irons have a heel hex, a toe hex, or a rear badge that hides a real screw. Some have a badge that hides nothing. Cal opens them. If there is a thread, it goes on the sheet. If there is a plastic cap over a hollow, the iron goes back in the bag.
How an iron walk runs
One head at a time, envelopes for all of them
We start with the 7-iron because that is the head most people can repeat on the net. Then we move up and down the set only on models that share a real socket pattern. A 5-iron with hexes and a pitching wedge with none will not be “matched” by inventing a hole in the wedge.
Winter indoor is when this work gets booked. The plains are a sheet of white, the net is honest enough, and Cal would rather click a set in January than guess in a June crosswind. You can still come in June. Bring patience. Saturday noon is a hard stop, so do not ask for a full iron walk at ten.
Feel from a 4 g heel in a 7-iron is smaller than the same 4 g in a driver. We say that before you spend the half day. The value is a set that does not fight itself — not a miracle draw in a six-iron.
